Our annual membership, which runs July 1st-June30th, is a tax-deductible rate of $55.00. A check payable to FCCA should
be made. We ask all current members to re join BEFORE our Pot Luck Supper.
If you know someone that is not a member
but is interested in coming to one of our trainings, there is a $15.00 fee to pre register by calling (978) 663-0909, or $20.00
fee at the door. If someone is interested in seeing what we are all about to join our organization, they may attend
for free but will not receive a training certificate.
We
offer:
* Eight free educational workshops per year-- Our workshops are designed to increase the knowledge and expertise in
our profession. Each of our workshops meets the EEC requirements for two training hours. At our workshops we offer complimentary
light refreshments and a chance to win a door prize.
* Support group activities-- Activities are offered for daycare family’s and also adult only times. It is a fun
time and a great way to socialize with our colleagues. Activities offered in the past for daycare include: circus, apple picking,
children’s theater shows, field day, holiday parties, and craft times. Adult times offered have been dinner out, chat
night, Foxwoods, theater.
* Free website advertising-- http://www.Familychildcareassoc.com allows our members to advertise their business. The
site is also an informative tool with a calendar of all our up and coming activities and workshops. Our most current newsletter
is also available.
* CPR and First Aid--Offered twice a year (Spring and Fall) in a member’s home surrounded by other daycare providers
and assistants.
* Resource table--At each workshop we have a table set up with handouts and pamphlets on current info (insurance, safety,
crafts etc…) Providers are welcome to bring info or crafts to place on the table.
* Board member Position-- We also encourage our members to run for any position on the Board and bring new ideas to
keep our association fun, informative and updated.
